Imagine my surprise, in a post-surgery haze, when I discovered I am highly allergic to pain medications in the opioid family. This reaction included severe panic attacks, episodes of crying, chills, and the likes. While currently recovering from this reaction I realized that documenting happy and positive life experiences is beneficial to recovering whenever life knock you down. Sometimes it's difficult to pick yourself back up. That's okay. But you can't stay in that train of thought, healing requires positivity. While this unpleasant experience has given me the kick in the butt to start this blog, it has not been the only inspiration. I've often tried to start journals or daily positivity entries in an attempt to make myself more aware of the blessings I am surrounded by. My fellow DNRS healer and friend Brittany has also inspired me to begin this blog to document the success I experience everyday. This blog is my first step to documenting the joys I experience everyday.
The following photo was taken several years ago at a quilt store (Eagle Creek Quilt Store) in Minnesota while competing at a NSCA Regional Event. I was truly happy to be in Minnesota with my Mom (Erin Standage) as we traveled to several "hidden gem" quilt stores. This quilt store was an only railway station for passengers, you can still see the train tracks right running right next to the store. What a joy!
